Guidance Philosophy

The philosophy of Guidance Services is inseparable from the guiding philosophy of Lakeland Senior High School.  We believe that guidance plays an integral role in identifying important developmental concerns and in providing leadership in fostering the intellectual and personal growth of all students.  Our goals emphasize a proactive, facilitative approach in identifying student needs and community expectations, in building a comprehensive guidance and counseling program, and in working closely with staff members as a cohesive team
