Lakeland
Senior High School is a learning community dedicated to working
together to create a caring environment where everyone is respected
as a capable learner expected to succeed and excel.
Philosophy
The goal
of the administration and faculty of Lakeland Senior High School
is to prepare students to be caring, responsible, contributing
citizens in this increasingly interdependent global world.
Not only should students be prepared to compete successfully
their short-term goals of employment or further education, but
they must also be prepared to make intelligent decisions in
a world of changing social values, growing technology, increasing
leisure, and economic and political uncertainty.

- Lakeland High School strives to continually offer a varied program to meet the challenges of a student body of over 2000
- Focus is placed on preparing students to enter the work force with emphasis on school-to-work programs.
The four-period day format, commonly referred to as the 4 x 4 block schedule, has allowed the faculty to offer many additional courses and programs of study for the students.
