(8/24) Art Department Featured
The LHS Art Department undertook renovation of one of Lakeland's signature sculptural swans, now on display at the Tax Collector's office. Inspiration was drawn from 5th graders and their teachers participating in the Tag Art program. Well done, Art Department!
(8/3) New Partnership
The LHS English Department is pleased to announce a partnership with one of Lakeland's newest businesses, Pressed Books and Coffee. This collaboration will feature many wonderful student opportunities, including one-stop shopping for curated and required titles, event space for performance readings, and review/recommendation writings. Many thanks and congratulations to owner Christina Needham (pictured above) and family on this exciting new venture!

our students are nulli secundus !
believe ~~ Achieve ~~ succeed
Our school mascot is a variant spelling of “dreadnought”, a battleship that was built during the beginning of the 20th century. The new dreadnought ship was so much quicker and more heavily armed than any ship before it, that it quickly became a symbol of national power.
We embody that power through the success and achievement of our students in academics and extracurricular activities.
